Welcome to the California Energy Commission

Webcasts at the California Energy Commission

DIRECTIONS: Click on an image above to start webcast.

Note: Macintosh or Linux computers may not recognize the "mms" protocol in web browsers. So to listen using Windows Media Player, you'll need to: 1) open Windows Media Player, 2) click on the file menu and open URL, and 3) copy & paste the URL mms://webcast.energy.state.ca.us/webcast directly into the player.

Webcasts usually begin 2 to 5 minutes before start time of meeting.
We sometimes continue broadcasting through lunch and break periods, but you may not hear anything.

The Energy Commission broadcasts audio of meetings from our main hearing room in Sacramento and occasionally audio-only from remote locations.

You can connect into these webcasts using Windows Media PlayerTM. If computer presentations are being given at the Commission's building - e.g. Powerpoint or video tape - Windows Media PlayerTM will webcast that video stream. Most presentations given at meetings can be found from the agenda link on the right-hand column.

If you need to download a player, click the link below.

Please note that the Energy Commission does not offer technical assistance for downloading and installing the player software on your computer, or problems you may have with either of the two players. Some company LAN systems may not allow streaming audio. Please check with your computer services department for assistance.

BECAUSE OF NETWORK TRAFFIC, SOMETIMES YOUR SIGNAL MAY BE LOST AND THE PLAYERS MUST REBUFFER TO RECONNECT YOUR SIGNAL LINK. THERE IS NOTHING TO PREVENT THIS FROM OCCURRING BECAUSE OF THE VAGARIES OF THE INTERNET.
